About us

Hodges Aggregates & Powders Ltd. is a third-generation company that was started by Gordon Ince in 1965. Three generations thus far are intrinsically committed to the continuation of the company.
Hodges Aggregates & Powders Ltd. was not always known by this name. The Company initially operated under the name Silica Mining & Engineering Ltd. As the name suggests, Silica was the mineral that was mined and sold for the production of glass bottles. Over time we diversified into limestone.

Limestone proved to be an extremely versatile mineral as many value added products were realized through this effort. Currently, we process over 30 grade combinations of (GCC) limestone which are used as ingredients in paints, grouts, thin-set and animal feeds just to name a few. We offer blends of graded limestone (GCC) unique to customer specifications. Other products include construction sand and stone, block mix and chips.
A product we are especially proud of, is our manufactured Limestone Beach Sand. It was the brainchild of Henry Ince who experimented with blends to make a sandbox for his children. This led him to perfecting the mix over the years. Our manufactured Limestone Beach Sand has been used for reclamation of eroded beaches all over the country. It is ideal to create a beach away from the beach.
Currently, we employ over 100 staff members. We thrive as a supportive family.
